In addition to the basics covered in the Hunting Trip and Nature Tour Info sections, it can be nice to bring along some of the following: binoculars, duck/geese calls, face paint, an additional waterproof dry bag, a cooler with ice for game transportation… oh yea, and a camera!

Absolutely! Olympia Outfitters has helped introduce numerous people to the fun and exciting sport of waterfowl hunting in a safe and enjoyable manner. Just make sure you are in compliance with all state and federal hunting laws and have all necessary licenses and we will make sure you have a great time!

Let’s get you one! The best place to start is the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife’s (WDFW) hunter education website, found at the link below: https://wdfw.wa.gov/hunting/requirements/education.
This website will provide you the information necessary to find either online or in person hunter education classes which will give you the basic knowledge and skills to be a safe and effective hunter!
Be aware however that classes are limited and fill up quickly so getting this requirement completed earlier in the year is best.

Olympia Outfitters specializes in jump shooting and waterfowl blind hunting over decoys. Our boat set up allows us to go places others simply can’t and instantly set up blinds on productive stretches of water to increase your odds of limiting.

We focus our efforts on local waters around the Olympia, WA region, predominately focusing on freshwater rivers not normally accessed by traditional waterfowl watercraft methods.

Generally speaking, the colder the weather the better the hunting. Choose forecasted days with low hanging cloud cover and cold to frigid temperatures. Don’t worry though, we’ll keep you warm and comfortable while on the hunt!

If wanted, Olympia Outfitters can process your animals onsite and at the completion of the float, for an additional charge.
